RBC Solve it, Pitch it, Win it! Quick Pitch Challenge
This is your chance to help make Kelowna a better place to live, work and play for young professionals, show off your pitching skills and compete for cash prizes. Prizes range in value from $1250 to $500.
YouthfulCities has just released its inaugural Canadian Urban Work Index – funded by RBC Future Launch. The data – collected by youth – is meant to inspire and inform urban innovation efforts. Kelowna is ranked 14th on the Index with Calgary 13th and Vancouver 15th. Full details can be found here: https://www.youthfulcities.com/
RBC is committed, through the work of the RBC Future Launch, to strengthening Kelowna’s ecosystem as a place for youth to live and work, and to help young Canadians prepare for a drastically changing workforce.
That’s why RBC, e@UBCO and Pushor Mitchell are partnering to hold the RBC Solve it Pitch it, Win it! Quick Pitch Challenge: We want your team to pitch a solution that has the potential to improve Kelowna’s education (affordability, access and work integrated learning experiences), entrepreneurship (spirit, spaces, programming), affordability (housing, utilities, transportation, food/clothing, leisure, health) and/or employment (basic, career-oriented, city economic profile, programs).
You are the future. The Quick Pitch Challenge gives you a voice in shaping it.
We are inviting UBCO’s top entrepreneurial teams to participate in RBC Solve it, Pitch it and Win it! Challenge.
Over the course of 1 afternoon and evening each team will tackle one of this region’s biggest challenges impacting youth, all the while demonstrating their creative thinking, teamwork and pitch skills. e@UBCO Lean LaunchPad Accelerator mentors and RBC and Pushor Mitchell team members will be on hand to coach the teams.
